Mr. Manning is a seasoned business professional with executive-level experience in all aspects of business planning, operations and marketing. He has a record of accomplishment in the development and execution of growth strategies in many different sectors, including energy, telecommunications, engineering and government. Bob brings this executive perspective to Owens MacFadyen Group, where he will focus on the needs of business owners and high-income professionals.

Bob’s career has included time at both large multi-nationals and regional technology firms. As Vice President of Marketing & Business Development for New Brunswick start-up Kinek Technologies, Bob played an integral role in establishing and solidifying business relationships around the globe. He led Kinek’s Field Services Group, which included international sales, marketing, business development and consulting functions.

Previously, Bob was President of the Telecommunications Industry Group at Fujitsu Consulting (FJC), formerly DMR Consulting. As FJC’s Senior Executive in the telecommunications space, he was responsible for over $200 USD million in revenue, more than 1,500 consultants, and the functional areas of strategy, marketing, sales, delivery, finance and human resources. Bob was also a member of FJC’s Global Management Team and the co-chair of an international task force charged with setting the strategic direction for telecommunications within the Software and Services group of Fujitsu Ltd., the corporate parent of FJC.

Before taking on the leadership of the Telecommunications Industry Group, Bob was Vice President of Operations for the company’s Canadian Division. In this role, he had P&L responsibility for the nine FJC Business Units in Canada, which generated over $180 CAD million in revenue and employed approximately 2,000 people. Before assuming the divisional role, Bob spent five years with FJC in Saint John, as Vice President, Atlantic Business Unit. In this position, he led an aggressive growth initiative that expanded the unit’s employee base from 85 to over 300 in less than two years.

Outside of the consulting sector, Bob served as a Senior Vice President at AGRA Systems Ltd. (a division of AGRA Monenco - currently held by AMEC). AGRA Monenco was the Engineering and Construction division of AGRA Inc., responsible for the management of large, complex industrial projects. As the senior executive within AGRA Systems, Bob was responsible for defining its direction within the larger strategic context of its parent organization. He was also a member of AGRA Monenco’s Global Executive Management Team.

Bob holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from St. Francis Xavier University. He lives in Saint John, New Brunswick, with his wife, Kelly, and five children. An avid runner, Bob has completed eight marathons and multiple half-marathons and 10k running events.
